Theatrical Documentary Program

The Theatrical Documentary Program, which stems from a renewed partnership between Telefilm Canada and the Rogers Group of Funds, provides funding for projects during their production and post-production stages. This public-private collaboration allows for the co-funding of feature-length documentaries that can connect with audiences, at movie theatres as well as on related platforms.

Changes to the program this year:

·         The Rogers Group of Funds can now offer financial support at the post-production stage (see program guidelines).

·         On a trial basis, the NFB will be deemed an eligible distributor for one project per language market.

During 2016, a program review will be conducted with a view to improving its performance.

Applications for this program cannot be submitted via eTelefilm.
