Telefilm Canada Congratulates the 2011 Jutra Award Winners
Montréal, March 13, 2011 – Telefilm Canada congratulates the winners of the 13th edition of the Prix Jutra, the annual awards ceremony that celebrates Quebec film. The awards were handed out this evening at Théâtre St-Denis in Montreal and broadcast on Radio-Canada. “This has been an excellent year for Quebec film and tonight’s Jutra-award winners prove that our stories deserve to be seen,” said Carolle Brabant, Telefilm Canada’s Executive Director. “On behalf of Telefilm’s staff, I congratulate the winners and finalists of the 2011 awards, including the Honourable Jean Lapointe, who received the Prix Jutra-Hommage for overall career achievement. “I invite all Canadians to watch these films and see for themselves just how talented our home-grown cinema artists are,” she concluded.
