Telefilm Canada announces five bursary recipients for the 2006 TVA-HEC Film and Television Management Program
Montreal, October 25, 2006 - Telefilm Canada and HEC Montréal's Executive Education Program have joined forces for the third year running to enable audiovisual industry entrepreneurs to perfect their film and television management skills.
The next TVA-HEC training session will be held November 15-22 in Bromont, Quebec. Telefilm enthusiastically supports this program, which fosters industrial development by helping entrepreneurs improve their administrative competence in a highly competitive and innovative sector.
The competition for the $3,200 bursaries is aimed primarily at owner-operators of production and distribution companies working in film or television. It is open to professionals from the Montreal area and other regions of Quebec and to Francophone professionals from outside Quebec.
The selection committee composed of Telefilm and HEC Montréal representatives received 10 applications and chose five.

Developing and promoting the Canadian audiovisual industry
Telefilm Canada is a federal cultural agency dedicated to the development and promotion of the Canadian audiovisual industry. Telefilm provides financial support to the private sector to create distinctively Canadian productions that appeal to domestic and international audiences. The Corporation also administers the funding programs of the Canadian Television Fund.
