Telefilm Canada announces high-profile line-up for Canada-UK TV Immersion

Montreal, February 21, 2006 - Telefilm Canada is pleased to announce the participants and sponsors of the upcoming groundbreaking Canada-UK Television Coproduction Immersion - held in association with North West Vision, Alliance Atlantis and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and designed and delivered by Olsberg|SPI - to develop the coproduction skills of producers and generate genuine working relationships.

Participants represent a select group of 24 experienced TV producers from three key genres where there is meaningful coproduction activity: drama, documentary and children's programming.

The event
The Canada-UK Television Coproduction Immersion, taking place near Chester, England from March 5 to 7, 2006 is a tailor-made program that will provide producers from all parts of Canada and the UK with a complete immersion in the television coproduction landscape.

The focus will be on demystifying the mechanisms and clarifying the mechanics of coproduction largely through interactive, participatory teamwork and individual challenges during which key practical issues of coproduction will be covered.
