Nancy Roch is appointed director of the Television
Business Unit, Quebec
October 24, 2002 – Michel Pradier, Director of Operations, Quebec is pleased to announce the appointment of Nancy Roch to the position of Director, Television Business Unit, Quebec, as of October 28.
“Nancy has a solid knowledge of public and private financing programs in the field of Quebec cinema and television. An experienced manager, she will be an excellent collaborator in everything to do with television in Quebec,” said Michel Pradier.
“I am thrilled to carry on working with producers and to put to good use the experience I acquired at the Association des producteurs de film et de télévision du Québec (APFTQ). For me Telefilm is a natural step that will allow me to develop my relationships with the industry from another perspective, that of a public policy maker,” the new director pointed out.
As director of the financial sector at the APFTQ, among other things Nancy participated in the evaluation and development of public programs and policy for the cinema and television film industry. Prior to that, she was director of accounts – media and entertainment with the Royal Bank of Canada, and director of finance and administration with Malofilm Communications.
Jean-Daniel Eigenmann, who held the position in an acting capacity, has been assigned, in addition to his functions as a financial analyst, management of programs for regional producers (producers outside Montréal and francophone producers outside Quebec) as well as management of the envelope for Aboriginal productions. In addition, Jean-Daniel will serve as a representative for the television sector, Quebec office, on the Policy and Procedures committee (P&P), which was set up following the industry-wide survey undertaken by the Corporation. The goal of this committee is to help trim, simplify and standardize Telefilm’s various procedures.
“Jean-Daniel served in an acting capacity during a time of great change at Telefilm, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank him. As a result of his professionalism, the portfolios were handled with the utmost diligence,” added Michel Pradier.
