Michel Pradier named Director – Quebec Operations

June 3, 2002 – Elizabeth Friesen, Acting Director of Canadian Operations is pleased to announce the appointment of Michel Pradier as Director – Quebec Operations. Mr. Pradier had been assuming this role in an acting capacity since November 1, 2001. This appointment takes effect immediately.

“I am delighted to welcome Michel to the Telefilm management team, declared Elizabeth Friesen. This appointment will ensure a smooth transition for our Quebec office. Michel will contribute in implementing the guidelines of the different Telefilm funds and programs, and the management team will benefit from his experience, energy and integrity.”

Michel Pradier added: “I am very happy to take on this new challenge. I can count on a solid team and am convinced that we will efficiently contribute to the development of the industry.”

Michel Pradier came to Telefilm Canada in 1997. Since then, he has filled several positions including financial analyst at the feature film unit and at the television unit. He was head – television unit before being named interim director of the Quebec office in 2001. Before coming to Telefilm Canada, he occupied several positions at Sogic (now Sodec) from 1991 to 1997, including those of assistant director – business relations and financial analyst – tax credit. He had previously worked in production for almost ten years.
