Quebec Office: Telefilm Canada announces the introduction of new rules, developed in collaboration with the Working Group for the French-language market, covering applications for production support
Montreal, March 21, 2007 – Given the large number of feature film projects now being submitted, and in an effort to support projects ready for production, Telefilm Canada’s Quebec Office is announcing the following decisions pertaining to submissions under the program for the production of French-language feature films:
- 33% of rejected projects (that is, projects that, following a first submission, placed in the last third of rejected projects) will not be eligible for resubmission at the next application deadline in production.
- In addition, a project that is resubmitted, and which then places for a second time in the last third of rejected projects, cannot be resubmitted during the next two application deadlines in production.
This measure is not retroactive and will take effect as of the next CFFF application deadline, March 26, 2007. This measure was developed in collaboration with members of the French Working Group.
