Telefilm Canada has put in place a number of initiatives to support the industry’s participation in international festivals and markets:
International Festival Participation Pilot Initiative
Financial assistance for the marketing of English- and French-language Canadian feature films officially selected at Cannes, Berlin, Pusan, Sundance and Venice.
International Sales Promotion Pilot Initiative
Aimed at films that received funding through the Canada Feature Film Fund (CFFF) – French-language market.

Perspective Canada_Cannes and Berlin
This initiative aims to increase the international exploitation of Canadian feature-length narrative films and to spotlight Canadian companies, films, and talent to buyers, sellers and producers attending these festivals' markets.
Films selected for participation in the Cannes, Berlin and Sundance festivals, or those taking part in the Perspective Canada initiative, also benefit from an extensive promotional strategy that guarantees the highest visibility possible for Canadian films. See our promotional tools

PRESELECTIONS IN MONTRÉAL
Cannes, Berlin, Karlovy Vary, Locarno, Pusan, Sundance, Venice and FIPA festivals
Telefilm Canada welcomes programmers for these international festivals to Montréal every year. By submitting your feature films (or television programs for FIPA) to these preselections, you will not have to pay the registration fee that festivals normally charge.
San Sebastian, Sydney, Rotterdam, Venice Days and Shanghai
To facilitate the selection process for Canadian films submitted to these festivals, Telefilm Canada organizes combined shipments of material.
MORE THAN 40 FESTIVALS ON THE INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT
Telefilm Canada also issues industry advisories. This service enables the industry to develop its strategy for the festival circuit around the world.
