The Göteborg International Film Festival is now accepting entries for its 2011 edition.

Please note that all films must be submitted directly to the festival.

Entry Fees: €30

Deadline for festival submission : September 30, 2010

  • Films must not have been screened before January 1st, 2010;
  • Feature films must be a minimum length of 72 minutes, documentaries 45 minutes;
  • Screenings formats accepted by the festival: 35mm, HD, DigiBeta PAL, Beta SP PAL;
  • Films entered must have English subtitles or original English dialogue.

The Ingmar Bergman International Debut Award is open for international feature films of fiction and documentary by first and second time director(s).

Founded in 1978 by Göran Bjelkendahl and Gunnar Carlsson to show non-mainstream films to a broader audience, Göteborg International Film Festival has become the biggest public film festival in Scandinavia. In 2009, some 450 films from 65 countries were screened by more than 124 000 visitors. Additionally, the Cinemix programme, with some 46 films related seminars, attracted roughly 5000 visitors.
