International Treaties

An international coproduction treaty is a written agreement between two or more countries that outlines obligations that must be fulfilled by each party with regard to the film or television production in question.

Canada has entered into international coproduction treaties with more than 50 countries.

The treaties are administered by Telefilm Canada on behalf of the Canadian government.
