What the Eyes Don't See

This program documents an unusual canoeing trip by naturalist and outdoorsman Jack MacKenzie and his friend Ted Ohlsen. Ted, despite being blind, built and now runs an outfitting camp. By using his senses of touch and hearing, Ted encounters the animals, birds and environment of the Canadian Shield. During the journey, we see how important nature is to Ted and Jack, and how it defines them as Canadians and as friends.
