Tomáš Kubínek, the Great Kaboodle, a vaudeville performer “of moderate acclaim,” hilariously wrestles with the existential questions of isolation, death and the absurdity of life. Trapped in his hotel room, Kaboodle tries every conceivable trick to escape – or at least to entertain himself beyond a suffocating state of fear. At the end he realizes that, ultimately, what sustains us in our isolation and what frees us from our entrapment, is faith.
