THAW (THE)

Evelyn Kruipen accompanies a group of students to a research station where her father, famed scientist and former radical activist, Dr. Kruipen, has discovered the carcass of a woolly mammoth. They arrive to find the station abandoned and learn that a prehistoric parasite has infected Dr. Kruipen and his team, presumably killing them all. Facing a potential global epidemic, Evelyn and the students must destroy the parasite before it reaches the rest of civilization. One-by-one they are infected and turn on each other. Just as all seems lost, Dr. Kruipen arrives, wounded but alive, and reveals his intentions to infect himself with the parasite and unleash it upon civilization. Evelyn is left with one choice: to allow her father to leave or take his life.
