Stuart McLean’s dream is for an old-fashioned Christmas pageant and he finds the perfect town to help him make it happen. Things fall apart, however, and he packs it in but not before admitting that his idea was misguided. When he thinks back, he realizes that the things that make Christmas special are the unscripted moments, the small, seemingly inconsequential ones, like a get-well card from a friend or a quiet walk on a snowy night.
