This point-of-view documentary explores
the mean streets of Toronto through the eyes
of Cathy Crowe, a woman who calls herself a “streetnurse” because her patients live there.
A nurse, activist, rebel and artist, Cathy started
the Disaster Relief Committee, the group that first declared Canada’s housing crisis to be a national disaster. Streetnurse is the very personal story of a woman who has made fighting homelessness her life’s mission, an activist who lives and breathes the adage, “one person can make a difference.”
