This celebration of the life and songs of the great American composer Harold Arlen features highly stylized performances of such classics as “Stormy Weather,” “Over the Rainbow,” “Paper Moon,” and “Get Happy,” interpreted by jazz, pop, rock and blues artists, including Debbie Harry, Sandra Bernhard and Rufus Wainwright. Interwoven is a dramatic treatment of Arlen’s life, which was filled with public success and personal sadness even as his music lifted the spirits of millions.
