On October 5 1990, Sharon Huenemann and her mother, Doris Leatherbarrow, were murdered in Doris’ Tsawwassen, British Columbia home. Sharon’s 18-year-old son, Darren, was eventually tried and convicted
of masterminding the plot to
kill them. Darren had it all, but
he wanted more. Obsessed with Albert Camus’ Caligula, he saw himself as the young, murderous tyrant emperor. Darren seduced two other teenage boys into
his fantasy world. Reality and fantasy collided – and the
result was murder.
