SAMUEL ET LA MER

Living on New Brunswick's Acadian peninsula, Samuel has always dreamed of being captain of an ocean-going ship. When he learns that his father has died at sea, Samuel realizes that he has lost not only the person who gave him life but his best buddy as well. His mother, Suzanne, burdened by debt, is forced to sell her husband's fishing license, thereby putting an end to Samuel's dreams. Suddenly, Samuel's world falls apart and the conflict between him and his mother erupts. However, Samuel's passion for the open sea proves to be stronger than anything else.
