The Puck Hogs follows a men's recreational hockey team, the Puck Hogs, through a brutally hilarious weekend tournament. In the tradition of the cult classic, This is Spinal Tap, The Puck Hogs is a hocku-mentary comedy about ice-prone boys turning into real-life men and stick handling the puck over the goal line of life.
After directing the feature film comedies Ham & Cheese (2004) and Cooper’s Camera (2008), Warren Sonoda is back on the ice with The Puck Hogs. He has also directed more than 130 music videos. In addition, Sonoda is a writer and editor having edited such films as Rob Stefaniuk’s Phil The Alien (2004) and writing the screenplays for his horror film Five Girls and Bob Keen’s Heartstopper. The Puck Hogs is Sonoda's fourth feature film as director.
