PLEASANT STREET

Pleasant Street, a film about living in spite of dying, is an intensely intimate, funny and dramatic documentary that follows the lives of Ken, 44, who has inoperable pancreatic cancer, and Leida, 31, whose melanoma has returned. Both have been given six months to live. The film follows as they struggle to fit in all they want to do, love all the people they want to love, and fight to stay alive just that much longer, chronicling their pain, confusion, anger, surprise and joy in the context of daily life in downtown St. John's, Newfoundland.
