Set against the horrors of the First World War, Passchendaele tells the story of Michael Dunne, a Canadian solider who sacrifices everything for country, honour and love.
Shipped back to Canada to recuperate in a Calgary hospital, an injured Dunne falls in love with Sarah Mann, a nurse serving on the home front. Her younger brother, David, although unfit for service, enlists for combat, determined to erase his family’s shame. In an attempt to protect the boy, Dunne returns to the battlefield and must survive the battle of Passchendaele in order to keep his promise to the woman he loves.
