The third series of The Newsroom takes a riotous ride back into local TV news, where George Findlay, the acerbic, self-absorbed news director, heads a team of unlikely producers who find themselves in truly funny situations. This season has George stealing intellectual properties, fabricating medical conditions, killing a media tycoon with a piece of gristly steak, pondering his supposed latent homosexual tendencies, trying to get advice from his catatonic paralysed shrink, and being shortlisted for the Order or Canada.
