Monster Federation is a team-based combat game playable online through download and subscription. Players participate in the game through three modes: community, collection/construction, and action. In the community, players interact with one another to find and track the activities of their team-mates and rivals through message boards, tournaments, game logs, and profiles.

The collection and construction of monsters and teams is a resource-management task that offers near-infinite combinations and strategies through the large number of variables in the game (monster types, weapons, gear, etc). The action part of the game takes place in a 3D environment where players -- individually or in teams -- battle their monsters inside an arena. Each arena match lasts between 5 and 15 minutes.
