One in 10. That is the estimate of a soldier’s chance of surviving an act of bravery that would be worthy of consideration for the Victoria Cross. Since 1856, only 1,354 individuals have met the criteria, and only 94 Canadians have received the honour. This documentary tells the stories of six Canadians who were awarded the Victoria Cross – including one surviving recipient. Personal reminiscences, photos, news footage, newspaper clippings and full-scale battle re-enactments are used to tell their incredible stories of valour.
