Lovable is the third film in Alan Zweig’s trilogy of autobiographical documentaries that began with Vinyl and continued with I, Curmudgeon. This time the focus is on the challenge to find love and happiness when finding someone with whom to share your life proves illusive. Alternating between Zweig’s stories and those of the people he interviews, Lovable also touches on the role romanticism and love songs play in our feelings on love.
