Hollywood Tycoon/Showbiz is a game that puts players in charge of their own film studio during the period 1900 to 2010. Players buy scripts, hire actors and crew and build sets in studios in Canadian cities or elsewhere. They must compete to make the first colour movies, the first “talkies”, and they must find markets for art-house as well as commercial movies. Hollywood Tycoon/Showbiz lets anyone try his or her hand at being a mogul.
