For 45 years Roy and Diana Schatz have been producing Gilbert & Sullivan operettas as fundraisers for St. Anne’s Church in Toronto. Roy, 74, still plays leading roles, while Diana produces, and daughter Laura directs and sings the lead. The joy in their work is palpable, but now as the Schatz parents reach the end of their careers, Laura, with a family to raise, is pondering her own future as well as St. Annes’.
