FROM GRIEF TO ACTION

From Grief to Action chronicles 17 months in the lives of four middle-class Vancouver families whose children are addicted to hard drugs. The documentary follows their personal trauma of trying to keep their kids alive and in treatment while at the same time advocating for more education, resources, treatment and harm-reduction measures. Director Nijole Kuzmickas was herself a volunteer "Big Sister" whose "little sister" Melissa died from drug-related causes.
