This documentary, a co-production with China about the historic Silk Road, is less a history-focused treatment of the subject than a personal chronicle resulting from travels which Serge Losique has made to China over the years. The documentary employs a cinematic approach to the subject, in which dialogue serves only as a guide to the images of the fabled Road, site of both glory and tragedy.
