Director

Justin Simms is an award-winning writer and director and co-founder of Newfound Films, in St. John’s, Newfoundland. His previous short films, Ashore, The King Hunt, Face Machine and Punch-up at a Wedding have garnered acclaim and prizes at film festivals throughout Canada and the rest of the world. Punch-Up won awards in the categories best screenplay, best director and best Atlantic short at the 2006 Atlantic Film Festival. Down to the Dirt marks Justin Simms' debut as a feature film director.
