CRUCIFIED SOLDIER

On April 24, 1915 a Canadian soldier was found crucified against a barn door at St-Julien, near Ypres in France. The “Crucified Soldier” caused international outrage. A post-war investigation by the British Government declared the account untrue, claiming it was nothing more than a myth of the trenches and war propaganda. Now, more than eight decades later, new evidence turns the myth back into reality and reveals the identity of the Crucified Soldier.
