COWBOYS AND INDIANS

Cowboys and Indians tells the powerful story behind the 1988 shooting of Manitoba Native leader J. J. Harper by Winnipeg Police Constable Robert Cross. Protests from the Aboriginal community led to the establishment of the Aboriginal Justice Inquiry, which revealed an extensive cover-up by Winnipeg police. This story brings to life, through characters on both sides of the divide, the often painful relationship between Native and non-Native peoples in Canada today.
