A Church in Two Worlds looks at the fascinating history of the Ukrainian Catholic Church, with a focus on the Blessed Mary Church in Markova, Ukraine. This church exemplifies the oppression, determination and, finally, the liberation of the Catholic faith in Ukraine. The little church in the heart of agrarian, pre-industrialized Ukraine was burned down in 1958. A decade ago, ex-patriate Ukrainians in Canada raised funds to rebuild the church, and its bells began to toll once again.
