CHILDHOOD LOST: THE STORY OF CANADA'S HOME CHILDREN

Childhood Lost examines the fate of the 100,000 British children shipped to Canada between 1869 and 1939 to work as indentured farm labourers. The children were part of a scheme designed to relieve Britain's overcrowded cities. Today, home children and their descendants make up 12 per cent of Canada's population. Childhood Lost tells the story of six home children as they attempt to unravel the mystery of their past.
