Cherry Kingsley - Recognizing The Person

This program documents Cherry Kingsley’s life and work. She tells her story of surviving an abusive early childhood and eight years as a prostitute and drug addict to become an international child advocate and recipient of a Governor General’s Award. Her healing journey involved connecting profoundly with her Aboriginal roots and becoming a proud and devoted mother of a healthy young boy.
