Ceux qui attendent

After centuries of peaceful coexistence, the Acadians and the Mi’kmaq of New Brunswick found themselves, in the fall of 2000, on opposite sides of a fierce conflict over their respective share of lobster stocks. The name of the community, Burnt Church, became an international byword for Native rights. This documentary looks at both sides of the dispute, providing insight into the men and women who have lived through the events and helping us to understand what separates as well as unites the two communities.
