Canadians: Biographies of a Nation (East) (The)

These biographies look at the lives of three influential Canadians. Samuel Cunard was the Halifax shipping magnate who founded the Cunard Line, the first company to schedule trans-Atlantic passenger service. Moses Coady, a Cape Breton priest, created the Antigonish movement and spread the ideals of the co-op movement through Atlantic Canada and the world. Sir Sandford Fleming, Chief Engineer and Surveyor of the Canadian Pacific Railway, championed the adoption of international standard time.
