At the request of his Master, a Tibetan monk makes a perilous journey through the Himalayas to the West. Six years later, after having established a center for teaching Dharma, he chances upon a western filmmaker on the streets of Vancouver. Poignantly told with insight and humour, the film retraces the monk's footsteps on location in Tibet, Nepal, India and Canada, ending with the long-anticipated return to his remote village.
