This film documents fiddler Ashley MacIsaac's rise to musical and tabloid prominence on a journey that begins in Creignish, Nova Scotia. Interviews with his family, friends and musical mentors begin to illuminate how Ashley's roots in Cape Breton inspired his music and cast the mold of personality that he continually shatters. The film chronicles his experiences on Broadway and Carnegie Hall, in the recording studio, and in Athens, where Ashley performed during the 2004 Olympics.
