Actuality: The Life and Art of Allan King is a lyrical portrait of a great filmmaker whose 50-year career encompasses the history of television and documentary filmmaking in Canada. The film is a fine weave of images and passages from King’s life and filmmaking from 1956 to 2006. Clips from such films as A Married Couple and Warrendale are interspersed with interviews with the groundbreaking filmmaker and with the cinema vérité of his most recent film, Memory.
