Philippe Falardeau Director
After finishing his studies in political science in 1992, Philippe Falardeau gained experience in filmmaking through the popular TV show, La Course Destination Monde, where young people travelled to various places throughout the world with a video camera and sent back their films. Armed with that experience, he made his first documentary film, Pâté chinois, on Chinese immigration to Canada. In 2000, Falardeau made his first feature film, La Moitié gauche du frigo, which won many awards and was a big success in Canada and on the film festival circuit, including the Rotterdam, London, Paris, Seattle, Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal festivals. Congorama is his second feature film.
